Trachtenberg Speed Math is an interactive speed math learning tool. It is a system of simple methods to perform high speed basic mathematics. The software helps develop mental abilities and concentration thereby creating overall sense of confidence in one's abilities.
These simple methods were invented by the brilliant Russian engineer Jakow Trachtenberg while imprisoned in the Nazi death camps during World War II. Because Trachtenberg did not have much paper to write on in prison, he invented methods based on mental calculations. After the war, he taught his methods to children in Switzerland. Children extremely weak in mathematics displayed genius-like mathematical abilities after learning the system.
