Description:

With QCreator, mono WAV audio files can be altered to create a more life-like 3D stereo sound field that appears to stretch beyond the boundaries of ordinary speakers. Create the sounds of planes, trains and automobiles rushing by... sound so real that if you close your eyes, you'll feel like you can reach out and touch them. You control where the sound moves and how quickly. Once you're done creating, there is no special equipment required, anyone can hear your brilliantly created effect on any ordinary 2-speaker system. We GUARANTEE it!

Who and what is QSound?

QCreator uses revolutionary and patented 3D audio technology developed by the world leader in 3D audio, QSound Labs. Released initially as a professional recording technology only - artists such as Madonna, Sting, Pink Floyd, Bryan Adams and Janet Jackson have recorded albums in QSound. Moving into the electronic age, QSound has been incorporated into products developed by Microsoft, Crystal, Sega and Creative Labs. You can also find QSound in some of your favorite consumer electronic products including Sony, Aiwa, Sharp and Sanyo. You probably don't know it, but you're hearing QSound when you' re watching The X-Files, Ally McBeal and Millennium.

How does QCreator work?

When you open a mono WAV and AIFF file in QCreator, it automatically opens an edit window and displays the file as a waveform (a graphic representation of sound). Using a simple pan tool, you can position each part of the sound where you want it. A locator dynamically shows you where your sound will appear relative to your listener as you create your effect. When you're done, QCreator lets you export the file into a 3D stereo format with a simple click of the mouse. QCreator works with normal WAV and AIFF sound files. Create your own awesome sound effects - guaranteed!

Do I need any special equipment or sound experience to use QCreator?

QCreator will run on any computer system using Windows 9x or NT4 and, even though audio professionals like to use this tool, it is simple and intuitive enough for anyone to use. Best of all, QSound is embedded right into the track and the effects you create will be heard on any computer with a soundcard and a two-speaker system - guaranteed!
