wireless usb adapter problem

my linksys wusb11 adapter will not install after I
uninstalled it. In device manager network adapter I'm up
to #8 on the install. Linksys says I need to reset the
adapter to zero. But How is that done?

the device manager and "uninstall" all accounts of the
failed installs. then re-boot. "DO NOT" plug the usb
device in yet. without the adapter pluged in.
install the provided software driver. plugin the wireless
usb device.
