There is laptop that has a parallel printer hooked up and when I try
to undock the laptop, I receive the error message...

You cannot eject your computer because one of the devices in the
docking station, Printer Port LPT1 cannot be stopped a program is
still accessing it.

I have changed the printer from ECP to BI-Directional in the BIOS and
no luck.

If you double click on the printer icon is there a print job in the queue? If
so, try deleting it.
