Post subject: special folder - task pane - other places
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

my "My Music" special folder recently became corrupted so I used the fix that
can be found here: http://computers.douglasthrift.net/winxpfaq.html#faq3

However, in the "Other Places" section of the Task Pane I now no longer have
a link to the shared version of the folder, in this case Shared Music, as I
do in the Task Panes of all my other special folders.

Any helpful suggestions as to how I repair this would be greatly appreciated

Don't worry people, solved it myself.

If anyone else suffers a similar problem following the instructions you can
be found at the following address under the section entitled 'Solution 2
(Repair only the folder in question)'

In addition:

You can use Keith Miller's script to fix the problem. Download "TaskPaneFix.zip" from here:
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.customize/ms...7dd4582
Note: Close all folder windows before running this script.
