Hi,
I've got quite a strange problem, which I'm ashamed to say is self inflicted.
Whilst hacking away at the registry trying to remove any trace of McAfee's
anti-virus software which wouldn't uninstall of its own accord I deleted a
registry key (or maybe more than one) which I shouldn't have.
Now IE wont run any sort of script, it displays HTML pages, but it doesn't
display any of the script which may be on the page, which is basically
useless.
I've un-installed IE7, and the issue still occurred with 6. I then
reinstalled IE7 in a hope it would reapply the settings I so brilliantly
fluffed up, but no, the issue persists.
I've installed Mozilla Firefox and that works fine for browsing however a
lot of software uses IE, and a IE is required for the windows update site, so
thats a problem.
Would anyone have any suggestions for me other than reinstalling the OS,
which I really don't want to do.
Thanks in advance! |

Do a system restore to a date before the editing.

Hi Elmo,
Thanks for your reply, I don't have System Restore enabled. So this
unfortunately isn't an option.
