Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>customize (more info?)

When right click on start menu's listed program, there
used to have the choices to open or explore the selected
and come up its containing folder.
I can't remember what I've done on the registry and now
the open/explore functions are no longer working even
these choices are still shown when right click the mouse.

Is there a chance I can restore them?

Thank you

Hi Edmond,

See if this applies in your case:

Right click the Start button, select Properties, Customize. Scroll through
the options on the Advanced tab and put the check mark back in Enable
dragging and dropping.

If your right clicking abilities are more complexed, run this edit.

Enable or Disable the Right Click Context Menu (Line 56)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
