I am running xp sp2 and I put a new motherboard and some ram and a new dvd rom.
well after all of that ,windows would not boot,no way shape or form.
Then I performed a repair install and finally got booted up , but now ,
windows takes a long time to load and so do my programs , and when my
programs do load they run snail paced and take for ever to close.
I have done repair installs before , but have not had these problems before.
I would prefer not to do a clean install if it can be helped.
Is there any help out there?
thanks in advance mardav1

Did you load the correct drivers for the new motherboard, using the CD
that came with it?

Check iwth the motherboard manufacturer's website for any driver
updates for your exact motherboard model and revision number. There
may even be a BIOS update, which can be risky to install but sometimes
does resolve these type of issues.

Good luck
