After upgrading from XP to Vista Ultimate I can't rename folders. I can

Nothing simply happens, no error message, nothing. It just keeps om beain a

You did not upgrade from XP to Vista Ultimate, you downgraded. Your problems
are just beginning.
You're best bet is to upgrade back to XP.

Can you right click, select properties and give yourself full control in the
account you are using?

Another fool. One wonders how you people learn to type. Head on back to
where you came from as you don't have the capacity to learn Vista and thus
can't help out.

Hey! You could stick around and learn... then you might be able to post
something constructive.

You are the fool. When I buy a new car I don't expect to spend an inordinate
amount of time learning how to use it. I simply want to drive it.
Knowledge wise, I probably forgot more than you'll ever know.

Since you have no way of knowing what he knows, you are in no kind of
position to decide you know more or less than him. Such talk is not wisdom,
but foolishness. It even has a name "ad hominum" as old as ancient Rome.
When you cannot defeat their argument, you attack them personally. It's an
admission of defeat.....

Why not take some of that vast knowledge you have and try to help some of
these folks? I've been using Vista for many months with no significant
problems, and I like it very much. I'm sorry you couldn't master it.

***I have not mastered it and I doubt that anyone else has. I use Vista
because it came with my new PC. That does not change the fact that I think
it sucks. There are very few things you can do in Vista that you can't do
in XP. MS unleashed a beta OS on an unwary public and I'm waiting (hoping)
after time it will be an excellent OS as is XP.

In the meantime, I feel sorry for a computer newbie who buys a Vista PC.
