This is an odd one - When I first start windows mail, it retrieves all new
messages. When I click send and receive again, I get an error message that
"Some errors occurred while processing the required tasks. Please review the
list of errors below for more details." The problem is that the Errors box is
empty. If I quit mail and restart it, it receives new messages.

Any thoughts? Didn't see this problem anywhere else

What if any antivirus programs do you have? Some of them cause assorted
problems in Windows Mail.

I've got the Trend Micro PC suite installed but the spam filter is turned off.

A recent version of the Trend antivirus software (details not available)
causes problems in Windows Mail even if part of it is turned off. Only
uninstalling it helps.

I had the same problem and got the following solution from this Group in Dec
2007:
It appears to be the "Microsoft Communities" folder at the bottom!
When it downloads your e-mails it's also trying to download postings into
the Microsoft Communities folder, but if you don't have that set up then it
won't be able to, and so there's an error message, but it doesn't know how to
tell you what's wrong.

The solution is simple, click on "Microsoft Communities" with your right
mouse button and select "Remove Account". Confirm that you want to remove the
account and the problem is solved!
The account returns when you restart Windows Mail but you are again able to
send/receive as normal.

Thanks for the suggestion but alas, it didn't seem to have any effect.

That did it - I had to delete both the communities and another newsgroup
account I had set up and restart mail. All is well.

Thanks so much for the help!
