Post subject: progress bar
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>basics (more info?)

I have IE7 on my windows xp home edition sp2 pc. Maybe i didnt pay attention
before but today i did. when I am online and navigate to different pages, I
used to see a progress bar on the bottom corner of my IE browser. Now I dont
so i guess its just a matter of enabling it. Is that possible and how????
ALthough this bar can be annoying to someone who has a lower speed Internet
connection, it also helps by letting me know that I DID press the command to
change pages.
Thanks for your help

Right click the menu bar and select the "status bar"

If you don't see the menu bar at the top of your IE window, hold down the Alt
key so it's displayed. Click View on the menu bar. In the menu that drops down
make sure that Status Bar has a check mark next to it. Click on Status Bar if
it's not checked.

If that doesn't answer your question you might want to post it to the Internet
Explorer newsgroup. Search on your news server for this newsgroup.

Good luck

Thanks John and Nephastan. It was that simple, and I guess one day I
unchecked the 'status bar' accidently.
Thanks again
