Can't print with HP 1320

When I try to load the drivers for my HP 1320 Laserjet, I get an error that
states that the configuration registry entry is invalid. I have tried
loading the drivers before I connect the printer and allowing XP to find the
new hardware and then load the drivers.

Is there any way to fix this?

I am able to print if I connect to the printer through another xp box, but I
cannot set it up to print as a local printer on my main XP computer.
