Post subject: Com port issues
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>configuration_manage (more info?)

I have been attempting to install a USB to serial adapter
but it keeps installing into COM 5. I am runnning XP Pro
on a Compaq. Even though com 5 does in fact work I need a
lower COM assignment due to the program's limitation.
Thanks.
