I uninstalled a program , but i left the short cut in my desktop.
now I'm unable to delete the short cut.

"This is not longer located in C:\Users\Public\Public Destop. Verify the
item location and try again"

this sign keeps coming up and im unable to delete it Sad

You could try
Right click the desktop > Refresh

Or, if two clicks is too much for you, simply press F5.

For some reason, there is a hiccup in Vista that every now and then leaves
behind a shortcut icon on the desktop, even though the shortcut has been
deleted. No worries though, it will be gone after next bootup.
