Post subject: Cant play DVDs any more

Hi, can someone please help, I used to be able to play DVDs on my computer,
but now for somereason the computer does not register anything in the D drive
when I insert a DVD. It does however register and play Audio CDs. What can i
do to fix this problem?

If it's not recognizing any DVDs then the laser that reads the DVD has died.
The CD side uses a different laser. Solution is to replace the drive.

Have you installed this Win DVD SOFTWEAR Because i did and it knocked out my
audio sound card after uninstalling it came back--
