Yes, most of them will. Nearly all of the newer ones do. But, without the
name of the game, we can't really tell you yes or no.

"Most" games work with Vista. A few require that you install an update to
the DX subsystem to add some 9c files.
In a few cases, video drivers may need to be changed (updated), or video
settings modified.
Older games may require "compatability" settings to work.

ehm, do you have it patched or cracked for a no-cd? that caused a lockup
for me aswell.Try reinstalling it, while running no other programs. then
from scratch, play it then and there with disc. if it doesnt work, try
searching for a mini image, It worked for me because my disc is ruined
with scratches and wont read properly, and EA charge €12 for a new
disc.

not sure if I can post this here if I cant, just delete the post and let
me know. go to www.gamecopyworld, and search for it there. you download
it, and mount the image with daemon tools or something similar.Only for
use if you already own a retail copy of the game. that wont solve your
problem though. have you checked your system specs against the game?
update your graphics drivers? does it give you an error message when it
closes?

you download the image on gamecopyworld.com, and mount it with daemon
tools. What are your system specs?

G33 Intel Chipset motherboard, with an integrated video card. It's
possible your system isn't going to like BF2, but it'd probably at least
run.

Could be your monitor is having refresh rate issues. I know BF2 doesn't
read your video card settings from what Windows Determines, instead it
tries to figure out the right settings on it's own. You may have to
search google for something like "BF2 refresh problems", or BF2 LCD
monitor problems.

Might try other monitors if you have any lying around.

Geek Squad wasn't entirely off basis, another video card would fix the
problem, like a good nVidia, but you should also be able to get the game
to run with what you have now.

Update drivers, try a different monitor, try a different video card if
the previous two fail.
