Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

Recently I see the following entry in Events Viewer, but I don't see it in
Services. Does someone know what it is?

Event Type: Information
Event Source: Service Control Manager
The muIO service was successfully sent a start control

After doing some reading and searching, it has something to do with
scientific expression - if that's so, then we also look for muTEX
Input/Output. But I still don't know what it it is being used for or who is
using it -- program? LAN ISP? Microsoft updates? I don't see it in
Services on my computer, but it occurs in Events Viewer as information.
