I have not been allowed to access Adobe Reader 8.1.Microsoft doesn't allow
Acrobat plug-in. I've re-installed AR 8.1 numerous times but still no
Acrobat reader plug-in. I have Win XP serv pack 2. Can you help?

May I ask why you want it as a plug-in? Mine isn't but when I click on a
link to a pdf, it opens. Now you have learned a lesson. Re-installing seldom
solves a problem.

Plug in to / for what?
AR is in application in its own right, are you saying you cannot open a pdf
file? or are you saying you cannot open an attachment?
