In win xp, there is a utility to shrink images to lower resolution when
sending them by e-mail. Is it possible to use this utility without going
through the e-mail routine?

Thanks,

Clem.

You can download the Power Toy Image Resizer:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Otherwise, the free Irfanview graphics program is excellent:

The easiest way to manage, resize, and email pictures is to use Picasa2 from
Google. It's free.

Have read the other replies, but my favourite & most flexible if you want to
have a look, is d'load Irfanvew which I've been using for years.
