i have an evo n600c notebook pc. its is over 7 years old. serveral hardware
components including the otherboard have somehow died and yet i have managed
to bring them back to life....lucky me. now the backlight on the lcd is not
working right. does anyone know how to fix that?

I'm sorry, I just love hearing it referred to as an "otherboard".
Somehow appropriate. I'm sure the next response will ask - what do you
mean, not working right. Flickering, dim, etc.

You fix it by asking in a group that relates to your problem. Your
question has NOTHING to do with the OS.
