I am unable to make changes to folder names and see them instantly after they
are made. Instead, I have to move out of the folder and then go back into it.

The same thing happens when I copy files into a folder.

Is there a setting that can be changes so that I do not have to do this to
get the updated names/info?

Pressing F5 will refresh the window so you don't have to move back and
forth.
