In order to have access to the Security tab, you need to
disable simple file sharing.

To disable simple file sharing, follow these steps:
1. Go to Start -> Control Panel and double click Folder
Options.
2. Click on the View tab.
3. In the Advanced Settings section, clear the "Use simple
file sharing (Recommended)" check box.
4. Click OK.

shared folder in Windows XP

Good luck

The Security tab shows up when Simple File Sharing is disabled...
Control Panel > Folder Options > View > Uncheck Use simple file sharing
