Post subject: My computer restarts everytime I click on my user account
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>perform_maintain (more info?)

I have been dealing with what I suspect are virus related problems. I
downloaded several widows updates and on installing them, then restarting
like your suppose to, I can"t logon to any of the user accounts on my
computer. I have had to resort to letting it restart and as it does
repeatedly pushing F8 until I can get to the OS choices menu and rebooting
from the last good configuration. This allows me to logon to my account. I
then get the message that my updates are ready to install. If I try to do
that, the whole processs that I just explained happens again. Can anyone
help me, please?

Ya I would think either your profile's corrupted (could be a virus like you
said) or your downloading an incompatible update/driver.
