Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>customize (more info?)

And why would I want to do that?

Somehow some of the system folders as well as root folder
for one of the disk partitions changed their type
(template). Usually, when windows detect pictures or
music files in a folder, they automatically apply
appropriate folder type template. And I can do it
manually on the "customize" page of the folder properties.

But the system and the root folders seem to be protected
from customization. So they do not have that "customize"
properties page.

Now my D:\ folder is a "picture" folder, and C:\Windows
is "music" folder! Any idea how I could turn them back
to "document" folders?

In Windows Explorer go to Tools/Folder Options/View/Reset All Folders.
