Is there a way that I can set up mail so that messages in my folders (inbox,
sent, etc) cannot be viewed before I log in. As it is now, anyone can walk
up to my computer, open windows mail, and read all my messages without ever
logging in?

Assuming you have a Windows user password, press Winkey and L.
That is the only effective way to secure all your personal stuff, not
just mail but also non-mail documents and pictures.

Log into what?
There is no Windows Mail login.
You stop people with your Vista login. Put a password on it, and lock your
screen when you're away (Winkey-L).

Hi, did you get an answer to your question? Besides the "lock" feature that
someone suggested...I also have this dilemma...yes I can lock my computer so
others can't use it but what if I allow someone (family member) use my
laptop, just don't want them accessing my email?
