Post subject: XP Standby (Suspend) Issue
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

I've been trying to get my PC into Standby without success. I have three
settings in BIOS, S1, S3 and S1&3, I've tried all three, the results as
follows:

S1 - PC goes into and out of Standby OK but all the fans within the PC
remain functioning.

S3 - PC goes into Standby OK but will not restore.

S1&3 - PC goes into Standby OK but will not resume.

Anyone any idea of either what I'm doing wrong or how to overcome this
conundrum?

Many thanks in advance.
