XP Home Logon Password

I have just added a logon password using a password which
I have always used, obviously entering this twice as
required, Next time I turned on my PC I was asked for my
password which it refuses to accept. I do not have a
password disk I I stupidly didn't think this neccessary
please help?

Logon as the Administrator from the Safe Mode and adjust or delete the
password for the account from here.
