I have a Microsoft wireless Comfort keyboard 1.0a and am having a problem
configuring the the media player keys at the top of the keyboard. I primarily
use the Winamp player and have configured my system access defaults to use
Winamp. When i press the play button on the keyboard (after some work) winamp
launches but doesn't play anything. The play button doesnt play as well as
the next/previous and stop button dont work.

I went to Microsofts website and downloaded the driver for the keyboard, but
i may have got the wrong driver. Will this keyboards media buttons work on
Winamp? I would really love for this to work.

Yes, you need to install first the latest drivers called "Intellpoint".

get them at microsoft.com/downloads

Good luck

Did you installed the Intellitype drivers for the Comfort keyboard? These
"extra" keys are not normally found on standard keyboards.

I ended up calling Microsoft support and they said that this driver only
supports Windows Media Player. Kinda sucky but oh well....
