hey alltogether,

I've got a problem with my second PC. This morning when shutting down I got
the message that there's a severe sytem error. Nothing worked anymore. I
managed to shut it down but when I tried to boot again it started to show me
this message :

Windows couldn't be started, the following file's missing or is damaged.
<windows root>system32\hal.dll.
Install a new version of the file.

Could anybody tell me how to install it when Windows doesn't work at all.
thank you very much!

You may be able to perform a repair installation.
