In addition to Malke's suggestions open Control Panel - System -
Advanced and click on the Settings button in the Startup and Recovery
(bottom) section. In the Startup and Recovery window click on the
checkbox for "Automatically restart" to clear it.
Something may be triggering a "system failure" class error when
Windows tries to shut it down. If this is the case then this change
will result in an error message rather than a restart and the content
of the error message should identify the culprit.
