Every time I turn the computer on or restart it, it will load up to the
windows xp screen with the scrolling blue bars, then stops, the bars keep
going but it doesn't go any farther. I have managed to restore the computer
to an earlier state then go to start at last known good configuration to get
it to run but it doesn't always work and whenever I start it again I have to
do it all over again. Please help!

could be a number
of things. How
many times can you log
into safemode without stalling?

The computer just restarted since some windows updates were installed.

Its got SP2 already and I updated it thinking it would fix the problem. It
stalled again under normal startup. It doesn't seem to have a problem
starting under last known good configuration or safe mode now.

When it loaded under last known good config. the following errors showed up:

SmartBridge Alerts: MotiveSB.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in
the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL

Dashboard Module
Dashboard Module has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

it looks like there is a conflict
with the internet connection.

since the problem is generated
in safemode, then we know
that the o.s. is not corrupted.
Instead it is some software
being used by windows in
normal mode.

Go back into safemode,
then click start, run and msconfig.
Then go to startup tab and
disable/uncheck any reference
to that motivesb??.... Then exit
and reboot to normal mode.

See if this clears up the problem.
If not then the next step is to
resolve that dll issue, which i have
seen several postings of problems
with it. Hopefully, you won't have
none now....
