Thanks for your reply. Your suggestion does speed up the loading of the
start menu when it is in "normal" mode. Perhaps it even loads it faster in
"problem" mode as well. However, the issue is still that the first time I
try and access the All Programs menu there is a noticable time lag before it
loads. This can be in the morning right after start-up or after many hours
of use. I haven't experienced such a noticable time lag on any other
machine. Any other ideas?
