Post subject: Windows Explorer - add a column by default
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

When our My Documents folders were encrypted recently, all of the Date
Modified information changed to that day, which makes it impossible to look
for a file based on the last day it was saved. In viewing details on a
folder I can add the column of Date Created, but that only applies to that
folder. This gives me a closer estimate of when I might have modified it
last, unless I have changed it often.

How can I add Date Created as a default column for all folders, without
changing the format of folders which should show pictures as thumbnails or
as a filmstrip?
