Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

Hi There,

I've this error when i connect my external hdd to my laptop. It used to work
well when i had xp home , last week i installed xp pro with sp2, now the
problem started

Windows Delayed Write Failed
Windows was unable to save all the data from the file <Drive:>\$Mft. The
data has been lost.
This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network
connection.
Please try to save this file elsewhere.

I also checked on the web, it seemed to be no solution yet. I tried all the
option but no luck.

any ideas?

Thanks
Ganesh
