| Is there any known way i can get windows to block a third-party application
from taken control over the color manegment, like the gamma, brightness,
contrast ?

Most of the time, the software that takes over this control is usually
"bundled" with your video card drivers. There does not seem to be a
possible method of removing this. |

Depends upon the Video Card...on the Nvidea cards there is a specific
program that loads

I have been using nVidia cards for some time and their "management"
software does not seem to be able to uninstalled separately. The only
way I have seen to turn off the management utility is to remove it
from the boot sequence. |

There are 3 files that load as part on the Nvidea package...by stopping one
from loading you stop the customization that you have created and get back
to "normal" .
Just don't ask me which one at the present time..............I used SpyBot
Search and Destroy to see which startup does what and then stopped that
particular file from starting.A google search on the file name will also
show what each file does and if it actually is needed.
