Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>customize (more info?)

I recently lost my extended partition and all of the
files contained in it. The "C" drive is still available
and can be accessed. I plan to reinstall the system and
rebuild my computer. I spent quite a while customizing
and would like to avoid doing it again, if possible. Are
there any files in "C" drive that can be used in my new
setup which contain the customizig information from my
previous setup? Any constructive thoughts would be
greatly appreciated.

Use the file and settings transfer wizard - you can customize what settings
you want to remember, store them in a file, and then run it again after you
finish the rebuild to put the settings onto your new installation.
