HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

After connecting to the Internet within 5 to 30 minutes I get a Generic Host
Process for Win32 error. After that I receive 'svchost.exe' error message
stating

"The instruction at "0x77c43dbd" referenced memory at "0x786f5138". The
memory could not be "written".

If I try to close either of the boxes out I get knocked off the Internet and
have to restart my computer to get back on. If I try to get back on without
restarting I get a message stating that my moden is is use or not working
properly. I have checked my modem, run my anti virus and spyware programs,
ran an on-line virus scan and do not know what else to do.

I have Windows XP with the Service Pack 1 on my computer.

Hi,

I still have dial up and I'm not sure if I am using a router, I don't know
exactly what that is. If you have any suggestions I would appriciate it.

Hey dude. I have this problem too. Connection is DSL. The Generic
Host Process error comes up randomly, from 1 minute to hours after I
reboot. I do NOT have Automatic Updates Service even enabled so it
can't be this. Do you have any other ideas?

Other details: My connection manager says I am still connected to the
internet after the error occurs, although, all my internet applications
lose connection and cannot regain. I am also unable to disconnect. I
click the icon, and disconnect is available, but it does nothing. I
click on 'status' and it flashes on the screen for like a milisecond
and goes away. I cannot connect to internet unless I reboot. This is
very annoying. Please help.
