Web pages are to big, they don't fit in the screen. How do I make them smaller.

I remembered doing something like this last year, and it worked very well
for my purposes then.
Last night I attempted to do it on the same computer, a laptop with a 15-pin
VGA port. The display settings tab shows a second display and the two
displays can be set up with different screen sizes, and other options. Last
night and the first time when I tried it after reading the link you posted,
I had only the native resolution as a choice for screen resolution for
display 1 (laptop screen). While messing with it, I accidently OKed the
display properties box, and when I got back into display properties, I had
lot of options for display 1's screen resolution, all the way up to 2048 by
1536. Of course, this is a real PIA because now I have to scroll the screen
to see the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, for example. So this may or
may not be a help for the OP.

But, for my one purpose, this huge screen area is very helpful. This
purpose is maps. Many URLs that supply maps limit the size of the map to
the screen size, and having a huge screen allows me to capture a huge map,
which I can then edit to my area of interest and then print or save.
maps.google.com is awesome with a huge screen and satellite overlay.
