I am running a Dell computer with XP SP2 (upgraded from Win ME). The computer
is off the net. In trying to install WMP11 (it has WMP10 now) I get the
message "player can only be installed on Windows XP SP2".
Well, that is what the computer is running now.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Ludwx

Are you running an older version of Media Center? You need MCE2005 or later
to make WMP 11 work with XP SP 2.

The upgrade to XP may also have been less than successful.

Well, this anwers my question. The computer is running fine with the OS
and with the installed WMP10. I will just leave it alone. Just puzzled about
the newer version not recognizing the OS.
Many thanks and wishes for a nice week-end.
