it doesn't seem to be there - I have Vista Home Premium. Any ideas on
whereelse I can find it or where I can download it from?
Thanks!

You haven't been paying attention. It is only provided with Vista Business
or Ultimate.

It's not included in the Home editions.
I purchased VueScan for my scanning needs.

Other users have reported purchasing SnappyFax for their faxing needs.
http://www.snappysoftware.com/
Both have free trial periods.

In my Ultimate 64, it is under Start > All Programs > Windows Fax and Scan
(program, not a folder). It is a barely-adequate scan program.

There doesn't seem to be much information about Fax and Scan anywhere...
so rather than make a new post... does anyone know how to add a Long
distance carrier number followed by 'pauses' to let the carrier do their
thing before adding the number to be faxed to?
I used WinFax Pro for a number of years pre-Vista and used 1010987PPP
before the number and this worked.
Fax and Scan will not allow non-alpha characters to be entered in the
appropriate fields.
Thanks in anticipation
Allan
