Ok. I can't understand why any images that I insert into a Word document
won't show on the screen while I am working. However, all images will show
up when I do a Print Preview and they do print out.

And now, unless it is a Microsoft Clip Art file, I can no longer resize an
image, as well as all the align tool option are greyed out and cannot be
selected.

This seems such a silly thing, but I am certainly not a newby when it comes
to all the Office products, but with this...I got nothin'.

can't help with your problem, someone may come along here and help, but you
stand a better chance if you post this to 'microsoft.public.word'
