Post subject: Viewing and listening to media on the internet
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

For a while now our computer has been having problems loading media from the
internet. The pages themself load fine, but not media. The problem is also
not limited to specific sites or plugins. Some examples being music and
videos on mtv, myspace, nick jr., aol, cbs, youTube, etc. all come in small
parts. For example a song or video will play for 10 seconds, stop, pick up
where it left off 6 seconds later, stop again and repeat this process through
out. This problem has been getting worse and worse to the point that we can
no longer enjoy media on the internet now. (FYI we have cable modem and it
occurs all hours of the day, not only at specific times) Also we have
recently (a while after the problem had been happening) got norton 360 so it
regularily cleans up and reorganizes our computer for us.

I thought it was an IE problem, so I checked out the settings. Nothing
changed. The problem also occurs in MSN explorer. And recently I downloaded
Fire Fox to see if it was just explorer, but the same problem occurs.

Please if anyone has any suggestions or knows what is going on?!?!
