Post subject: Video Capture cards which work under Vista
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>vista>hardware_devices (more info?)

When my computer was having XP as the OS, I captured a lot of music and
family videos and authored and burned them into DVDs. But the VideoMate
card and the Compro PVR software which I still have on my computer do
not work under Vista. My Internet search for a suitable video capture
card for Vista has not resulted in any success so far. So I thought I
should check if any of the Vista users are already using any video
capture cards and get the details.

The requirements of the card are are as follows:
1) TV Tuner: not important since I record the DTH programs on a VCR
tape and then capture with a Composite connection to the computer
2) Broadcasting Standard: PAL B
3) Type of TV: Analog
4) Motherboard slot: PCI
5) Sockets for Audio Video In from the TV/VCR
6) Socket for Audio Out to the Line In of the Creative Sound card
7) Video Out to the NVIDIA Graphic Display card to the monitor

Any help to locate a working card will be highly appreciated.
