Hi Todmonsta,

The driver for your camera is available from the Microsoft website. I
provide a direct link to this driver below.

I am running Vista Ultimate and have just bought a LifeCam VX-6000. When I
install it from the supplied disk it installs the software but not the
drivers, so when I plug the webcam into the USB port Vista recognises that
I've plugged it in but says it cannot find a driver. It advised me to go to
the Microsft website and download another installation program. I did this
and downloaded "LifeCam1_3VX.exe", as advised. I unplugged the webcam and
uninstalled the previous installation and ran the program, with exactly the
same result. So I searched the web for alternative answers and was directed
to the Microsoft web site again but this time it recommended "LC14.exe",
which I downloaded. I unplugged the webcam and uninstalled the previous
version and installed "LC14.exe" - with exactly the same result. I've also
tried "Add Hardware" and "Update Drivers" via the Device Manager, nothing I
do will install the hardware. I have also tried running the programs as
Administrator but to no avail.

Microsoft Customer Services were'nt interested and referred me to the user
groups.

So, how do I get this webcam to work with my computer?

I have the OS and the same webcam. It is easy to solve this problem.
Go the Device Manager through your Control Panel, and locate Imaging
Devices. Your camera will be there .(I'm assuming you've already installed
it). Double click on the VX-6000 to bring up your drivers. Next click on
drivers to update it. Voila!

Thanks Abeiku but as you see from my posting I have already tried that and it
couldn't find any drivers. That's the problem - all the normal ways to get
the drivers recognised don't work. Any other ideas?
Thanks anyway for your help.
