By VPN settings, do you mean
1. username and password
or 2. authentication-encryption settings, IP address used,...
If its 1, they can be saved by selecting the option "Save user name and
password available in the UI"
If you are creating the connection (in network conneciton folder) as per
user and trying to use it logging in under diff. name then also you will be
unable to see this connection.
CAn you cross check this?
