When I upgraded from WIn 98 to Win XP, I started to set up user
accounts (as per control panel), got stuck, stopped, cmpt worked, so I
didn't try to fix it.
Now, I believe this is stopping me from setting up a wireless Home
NetWork, using my main PC and laptop.
Every time I reboot my cmpt, no user profile selection screen appears.
The cmpt always goes directly to the desktop.
When I check User Accounts in Control Panel, there are 2..
Administrator and Mary
When I check the folder Documents and Settings there are many more
users - Administrator and Mary, but also the following User Folders :
PETER, Default User, All Users, NetworkService, Local Service.
When I use my cmpt, I must be using the PETER because that is where all
of my files are saved by default - C:\Documents and Settings\PETER\My
Documents - etc for every file saved.
PETER is the user profile I was starting to set up when I ran into
problems
MARY is the user profile on my cmpt at the time I upgraded to Windows
XP.
How do I get PETER to appear in the User Profile list?
How do I determine which of these profiles have administrator access?
All, none, some?
How to I get the screen that allows me to select which User Profile to
use when I reboot my cmpt.
Which one should I be using when setting up a Wireless Home network?
Currently I believe I am using PETER, which isn't listed in the Control
Panel -> User Accounts?
Thank you.

Not sure, but ... try assigning a password to Peter & see if that
helps.

Do you mean set up PETER as a new User Profile and then assign a
password.
