maybe this is a better place to post it:
After doing a fresh install of xp home with sp2, does anyone know the what
the approximate total in MB that of all the updates that ms recommends is? I
have a dial-up connection and would like to know what to look foward to.

I don't know exactly but perhaps 70 megs or more.
You can save a bit by skipping IE7 though.
A good time to do it would be overnight as it could be 8 hours worth or so |

You could work this out yourself by visiting MS update catalogue
(Administrative Updates)
And if you have access to a faster connection elsewhere, you can download
from there & burn to cd
