Windows LIve Messenger Error - My messenger shuts down whenever I try to veiw a friend's webcam. IS there a way to fix this?

Using Vista Home Premium and Windows Live Mail which is up-to-date.

* Losing composed letters when a message pops up that there is an Unknown
Error and Live Mail needs to close.

Does anyone know a remedy to try? Thank you.
