Hi all,
I have a challenge that is driving me nuts. I have several Windows XP
workstations here in the electoral court and the Coordinator asked me to turn
auditing in a specific folder in each machine. The problem is this: I can do
that via GPO, but I will overwrite the local permissions in the files, since
we cannot change the auditing of a folder via GPO without setting it's
permissions.
I think the only way to do it is via script or any command-line tool. But I
have found no way of doing it via Vbscript or any command-line tool to alter
ONLY the auditing entry (SACL) of a file or folder. Is there anyone who could
give me a light on this ?
Best Regards!
