Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

My computer has been slow for a few days now. I decided to check out how many
processes were running in Task Manager. I DO NOT have any options in task
manager any more. The only thing showing is Xp News group that im on right
now. At the bottom I do have the options to END TASK, SWICH TO, or NEW TASK.
The only way to close it is to go to my tool bar, right click and opt to
close. I have just noticed it today. I had posted a question earlier about my
internet explore not staying open for more that 2 seconds, unless I click on
it about five times in a row. Then it will only stay open if I do not send or
close the report that pops up everytime I click in IE. The report states
Internet Explore has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have FireFox
that works just fine. Another issue would be help and support with xp on my
computer, when I try to view an issue it displays: Cannot display the page
The page you are trying to view cannot be displayed. This may be because:
If you are trying to view this content over the network, there may be
network congestion or a problem with your connection.
There might be an error in the page's address.
The page might not be available.
Please check your network connection or try another page.
PLEASE SOME ONE HELP!!!!!

For your problem with Task Manager, double click on the border.
You have it configured in what's called "Tiny Footprint mode".

Why is part of my Task Manager gone?

For you IE problems, you might want to post your question to
the IE7 newsgroup.
